Terms of Use

Acceptance
By downloading or using Tuckaway (“the app”), you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple’s Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard EULA with terms specific to Tuckaway; Apple’s Standard EULA remains the baseline agreement for your use of the app.
What Tuckaway is
Tuckaway is a private, on-device photo and video vault for iPhone and iPad. It encrypts your media locally. There is no account and no server: we cannot see your content, and we provide no cloud storage of your media.
Your responsibility — passphrases and keys
- You are solely responsible for remembering your vault passphrases and folder PINs.
- There is no recovery. If you forget a passphrase, the vault cannot be opened by anyone, including us. We hold no copy of your keys.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backups (e.g., enabling iCloud Backup) and for the security of your device.
Purchases and subscriptions
- Tuckaway is free to use. Your everyday gallery is unlimited, and you can create unlimited hidden vaults; on the free plan, each hidden vault holds up to 3 items.
- Tuckaway Plus is a one-time purchase, sold through the Apple App Store, that removes the per-vault item limit — giving you unlimited items in every hidden vault, stored locally on your device.
- Tuckaway Pro (coming in a future update) will be an auto-renewing subscription that adds optional iCloud sync, encrypted backup, and multi-device continuity. Pro is not required to use Tuckaway or to keep the unlimited local storage you unlock with Plus.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A one-time purchase is charged once; a subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple Account subscription settings. Any free trial or introductory offer, where offered, is shown before you confirm. Pricing may vary by region and is shown before you confirm a purchase.
- No data hostage: Whatever you’ve already saved stays fully viewable and exportable on your device. If a subscription ends, you keep full access to all that media; cancelling Pro only stops iCloud sync and never locks media you’ve already saved. Only adding new media beyond the free limit (unlocked by Plus) or syncing to iCloud (Pro) is gated.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Tuckaway to store, create, distribute, or facilitate illegal content or content that violates the rights of others, and not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent the app’s security except as permitted by law.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for loss of data resulting from a forgotten passphrase, lost or damaged device, disabled or unavailable backups, deleting the app, deleting original media outside Tuckaway, or your failure to export or maintain backups. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Contact: [email protected].
