Terms of Use

Acceptance
By downloading or using Tuckaway (“the app”), you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple’s Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard EULA with terms specific to Tuckaway; Apple’s Standard EULA remains the baseline agreement for your use of the app.
What Tuckaway is
Tuckaway is a private, on-device photo and video vault for iPhone and iPad. It encrypts your media locally. There is no account and no server: we cannot see your content, and we provide no cloud storage of your media.
Your responsibility — passphrases and keys
- You are solely responsible for remembering your vault passphrases and folder PINs.
- There is no recovery. If you forget a passphrase, the vault cannot be opened by anyone, including us. We hold no copy of your keys.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backups (e.g., enabling iCloud Backup) and for the security of your device.
Subscriptions and payment
- Tuckaway is free to use with a limit of 10 media items per vault. Tuckaway Pro removes that limit (unlimited media).
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) sold through the Apple App Store. A 7-day free trial may be offered to new subscribers.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account subscription settings. Pricing may vary by region and is shown before you confirm a purchase.
- No data hostage: If your subscription ends, you keep full access to all media you’ve already saved — you can continue to view and export it. Only adding new media beyond the free limit is gated.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Tuckaway to store, create, distribute, or facilitate illegal content or content that violates the rights of others, and not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent the app’s security except as permitted by law.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for loss of data resulting from a forgotten passphrase, lost or damaged device, disabled or unavailable backups, deleting the app, deleting original media outside Tuckaway, or your failure to export or maintain backups. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
